How to Search Our Catalog
* Enter the name of the person, place or topic you are searching for in the Search
field.
* Use the word "and" to separate multiple search terms. Do not
use commas or semicolons.
* Hit the "Run Query" button for the results.
What You Get
The results are a list of articles, photos, images, books and other materials that
match your search . You can use the information to arrange to view the items in person or go directly to the source of
the information.
Photos & Images
The actual size, proportions and resolution of the photos or images shown
in your results may be different from the original item.
Archive Viewing
Our archives are available for viewing on a limited, appointment only basis. Viewing
is free to EPHS members and $15 for a 30 minute appointment. To request an appointment, please email us with your name, phone
number and the items you are interested in viewing. Copies of some items can be made; charges may apply.
Los Angeles Times Articles
The EPHS Archives Catalog includes numerous references to stories
that appear in the Los Angeles Times. Copies of these stories are available for viewing in person to EPHS members
on an appointment basis. The easiest way to view the same stories electronically is to note the date and page number and go
to the Historical Los Angeles Times database. The database can be searched online by visiting any branch of the Los Angeles Public Library website.
